Three years ago, I had zero energy. I felt unfulfilled in my work. I was not eating healthy, and I felt stuck literally (Covid) and figuratively. Today, I am back in school following my passion, writing and sharing my ideas on Substack, helping people improve their lives, eating well, exercising daily, going out with friends, spending time with those I love, and living my most creative life. There is no magic potion to finding your path, but I can share three things that helped get there!
Take necessary risks to follow your heart, goals, and passion. No second-guessing yourself.
Don’t overthink the cons and all the reasons why you shouldn’t do something.
Love yourself first and foremost. Then, you can authentically give love to others and be more present for the ones you love.
When I was a full-time talent manager and producer, I spent most of my time solving other people’s problems. Now, I am focused on helping others solve their own problems. Why? Because we are the experts on ourselves and our healing. The solutions are within us, but we must do a little search and discovery to find them.
Below are five questions to ask yourself as we approach 2025, and I encourage you to journal your answers. From there, you can identify your goals and how you want to focus your time this next year.
1. If you woke up tomorrow and all your problems had just magically disappeared, what would your day look like?
2. Draw or write out how this day looks.
3. Who is there supporting you on this day?
4. On a scale of 1-10, how satisfied are you in your primary relationship?
5. What would it take for you to increase this number by just one point?
